Hello, my name is Eli D. Clemmer, the 3D Librarian, and I’m here to show you around the wonderful world of 3D printing. I grew up overseas where I initially began volunteering at a library during high school. I began formally working in libraries while earning my BA in English from the University of Maine. Since then, I received my Master of Arts in Teaching, also from UMaine, and Master of Library and Information Science from the University of South Carolina. I am currently a Library Media Specialist for SAU#3 in the mountains of New Hampshire, where I’m hooking kids on reading and bringing the Lulzbot Taz 6 3D Printer to my library.

The advancement of media technology has really amazed me. I never would have guessed even five years ago that my school’s library would have the ability to make plastic models from scratch. If used right, I believe this technology can be a powerful instructional tool in any classroom.

My wife and I live in a quiet home with two cats, and in our spare time we enjoy reading and playing board games.

If you have any thoughts, ideas, or questions about 3D printing that I haven’t addressed on this site, please feel free to get in touch with me at 3dlibrarian@gmail.com. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing how I can help!
